Moon Cycle Ramblings FQ+3 First Quarter Lunar Calendar Chart

Be sure to scroll down for Moon Days Tips!

Here are my Moon ramblings on this third day after First Quarter, the Waxing Gibbous moon, aka FQ+3 in my lunar calendar chart.

I am juggling the guidance of this moon day about two items on page 64 of Moon Days:

  1. Doubt is normal.
  2. Be active with an ease of knowing how to pull it all together.

It is generally easy to abandon daily attention to the moon phase days during this week before the full moon. It’s quite normal. This is a busy time with tasks and distractions, moving ever faster towards the magnetic changes between the Earth and the Moon that start three days before the Full Moon.

I’m working on a new project and am astounded at how easily these two seemingly opposite ideas actually blend together. The inner dialog goes something like this:

Lunar Calendar FQ+3 Moon Cycle Waxing Gibbous Moon Ramblings

INNER DIALOG

DOUBT

On the one side with doubt:

Can I do this? Is it the right thing to do? Will it work out? Will anybody like it?

KNOWING

Tossed with a side of these exclamations of simply knowing:

It is right! I’ve been waiting for just this idea to make it work! Don’t lose it! Put it all together!

I marvel at how the moon phase days can be so accurate with my inner life. You know that I do not make this stuff up, right?

MOON RAMBLINGS HERE

I stand on the shoulders of expert astrologers who came before me. I’ve distilled their teachings with my experience of this wondrous wheel of the moon cycle.

People like Dane Rudyar, Marcus Allen, Johanna Paungger, Ute York, and Rowena Pattee Kryder, to name only a few. There are many others. I salute all of you.

This week I came across a philosophy of ancient Greeks that held the Sun as the giver of life to the solar system, which makes perfect sense. Our bodies require light from the Sun.

They went further to declare that the Moon is the giver of life to our Earth. From a science point of view it is the tides that are regulated by the Moon that keeps the oceans and seasons in good order on Earth.

Science is all well and good, but it’s when I gaze up at the Moon hanging in the dark sky that it makes sense to my inner spiritual life that the Moon is the giver of life to those of us on Earth.

That nameless wonder I feel, a sense of connection, a mystery that the ancient peoples must have felt through eons of time. I can only imagine what it was like to have the moon and stars as the evening entertainment outside dancing with the Milky Way, telling stories around the campfire.

Anyway, back to the real world and wrestling with the moon phase day.

FQ+3 DOUBT

I know it’s normal to have doubts, but they are so compelling, you know? I practice letting them pass through like they are on a paper boat in a river. Hello to you, sir. Thank you for stopping by.

FQ+3 KNOWING

That perception that some call gut instinct or inner voice or knowingness. I know this is the right thing for me at this time for this project. It feels right.

This duality of doubt and knowing is the perfect example of the human experience with following the moon cycle, so if you are juggling them, too, know that you are in the exactly right place of this moon phase journey.

MOON DAYS TIPS

Thank you to all who have purchased a copy of Moon Days which is my version of how to live with the lunar calendar each month.

If you haven’t seen it yet, it has a two-page description of each day of the moon cycle which is used over and over again as the moon travels through the year.

There are journal prompts and topics to muse about. Each time around the cycle a different point of reference will spark attention, depending on current circumstances.

The explanations are brief. But this brevity does not mean lack of quality! I’ve pulled the most targeted points so that you can spend the most time on personal issues related to the themes of the day.

I write this post to let you know that I am following along the Moon Days with you most days of the cycle. I keep the paperback version open on my desk to the phase of day. It takes just a few seconds to glance over it. When I’m moving around in the world, the electronic version is easier to access. Either way, I never fail to find one thing that is exactly related to my day’s activity and emotions.

Our paths our different, but the cycle remains the same.

Here’s another tip. I’ve written multiple blog posts about each moon day and carefully tagged them. See link in the comments below.

Find the search box and type in the short version of the moon phase day, like these examples:

NM – New Moon

NM+1 – one day after the New Moon

NM+2 – two days after the New Moon

FQ – First Quarter

FQ+1 – one day after First Quarter

FQ+2 – two days after First Quarter

FM – Full Moon

FM+1 one day after the Full Moon

LQ – Last Quarter

LQ+5 – five days after Last Quarter

And so on.

I use six days for each week of the cycle.

Thanks again for your support! Blessings on your day.

Moon Cycle Solar Eclipse Holiday

posted in: Moon cycle | 0

The solar eclipse is a major holiday in the world of moon cycles. And tomorrow is a doozie! Like Christmas or the 4th of July or Thanksgiving. It is most especially a marker of a significant change. The meaning of this is unique to each of us and, like with all concepts about living with the moon cycle, it is a choice to access it and use it.

Moon Cycle Solar Eclipse Holiday Aug 21 2017

I have been through many eclipse experiences. Most of them come and go and it’s like, “Oh, well.” Which means that the eclipse degree and sign on my astrology chart is not significant.

Other times it touches me deeply and profoundly to the point of knowing that my personal world will never be the same. This is one of those eclipses for me.

To get a glimmer of a notion if you are having a major eclipse experience, consider what has been happening in your life since the end of July. The lunar eclipse of Aug 7 may have opened up a particular issue, whether it is physical, emotional or spiritual. The lunar eclipse uncovered the shadow of it.

Now, with the solar eclipse Aug 21 it is time for the reset button. For me, this solar eclipse says, “It’s time to put the dark of the Moon shadow on top of the light of the Sun.”

Time to reboot the machine that will manifest acting in a new way related to the issue. You’ll know deep inside of you which question is highlighted now and which activities will be in motion soon. If not, be open to receiving the answer. This attitude of belief allows the information to come.

Change is optional. Grab the opportunity to make a change, or let it go, it is your choice. Some of us manifest the issues in a very physical way and it is not an option to ignore it anymore.

The direction of this personal evolution will take some time to sort out and may even take months to fully understand it. It will be resolved by the next round of eclipses coming in January next year.

For eclipse day Aug 21 and the next week, it is time to just “be.” Allow the reset to happen. It’s big, mysterious, and perhaps unknowable in the grand universal scheme of things. That’s okay. Be gentle with yourself. Allow it to percolate and brew up a whole new you for this coming autumn and winter.
